偈颂‧短文 选读

 

 

 

1.皈敬偈 (总礼文)

 

 

      Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammasambuddhassa.

 

       皈敬 世尊 阿罗汉 正遍觉者

 

       (Salutatinos to the Blessed One,the Exalted,the Fully Enlightened One !)

 

 

2.三归依文

 

 

       Buddham saranam gacchami,                    我归依佛  

 

       Dhammam saranam gacchami,                   我归依法

 

       Savgham saranam gacchami.                   我归依僧

 

       ( To the Buddha I go for refuge.

        To the Dhamma I go for refuge.

        To the Sangha I go for refuge. )

 

 

3.超世偈 (Dhammapada 354)

 

 

       Sabbadanam dhammadanam jinati,              众施经施胜

 

       Sabbam rasam dhammaraso jinati,             众味道味胜

 

       Sabbam ratim dhammarati jinati,            众乐法乐胜

 

       Tanhakkhayo sabbadukkham jinati.            爱尽胜众苦

 

 

       诸施法施胜 诸味法味胜 诸喜法喜胜 除爱胜诸苦 //了参

 

       The gift of Truth (dhamma) excels all other gifts ;

       The flavor of Truth excels all other flavors;

       The delight in Truth surpasses all delights;

       The destruction of craving overcomes all suffering.

 

 

.通诫偈 (Dhammapada 183)

 

 

       Sabbapapassa akaranam,                          诸恶莫作

 

       Kusalassa upasampada,                           众善奉行

 

       Sacittapariyodapanam,                            自淨其意

 

       Etam buddhana sasanam.                         是诸佛教

 

       Not to do any evil, to cultivate good;

       to purify one's mind, this is the Teaching of the Buddhas.

 

 

5.缘起法颂 (Vinaya-pitaka,I.p.40.L26-29)

 

 

       Atha kho ayasma Assaji Sariputtassa paribbajakassa

 

       imam dhammapariyayam abhasi :

 

          'Ye dhamma hetuppabhava,           诸法从缘起

 

           tesam hetum tathagato aha,           如来说此因

 

           tesab ca yo nirodho,                   彼法因缘尽

 

           evamvadi mahasamano' ti.              是大沙门说

 

 

       时,具寿阿说示为梵志舍利弗说此法门:

      「诸法因缘生,如来说其因;诸法灭亦然,是大沙门说。」

 

       Then the venerable Assaji uttered this terse expression of dhamma

       to the wanderer sariputta :

         " Those things which proceed from a course,

             of these the Truth-finder has told the cause;

          And that which is their stopping --

             the great recluse has such a doctrine."

6.三相 (tini lakkhanani)

 

 

     (1) Aniccalakkhana (无常相) (Dhammapada 277)

 

         Sabbe savkhara anicca ti                    「一切行无常」,

 

         Yada pabbaya passati,                         以慧观照时,

 

         Atha nibbindati dukkhe.                          得厌离于苦。

 

         Esa maggo visuddhiya.                           此乃清淨道。 // 了参

 

 

        「一切存在的成份是无常的」,以智慧观察时,

          厌离种种的苦恼,这是至清淨之道。 // 淨海

 

          'All conditioned things are impermanent',

           when one sees this in wisdom,

           then one becomes dispassionate towards the painful.

           This is the Path to Purity. --- W.Rahula

 

           "Transient are all composite things " ;

            he who perceives the truth of this

            get disgusted with this world of suffering.

     (2) Dukkhalakkhana (苦相) (Dhammapada 278)

 

         Sabbe savkhara dukkha ti                       「一切行是苦」,

 

         Yada pabbaya passati,                            以慧观照时,

 

         Atha nibbindati dukkhe.                           得厌离于苦。

 

         Esa maggo visuddhiya.                           此乃清淨道。 // 了参

        「一切存在的成份是苦恼的」,以智慧观察时,

          厌离种种的苦恼,这是至清淨之道。 // 淨海

     (3) Anattalakkhana (无我相) (Dhammapada 279)

 

 

         Sabbe dhamma anatta ti                         「一切法无我」,

 

         Yada pabbaya passati,                           以慧观照时,

 

         Atha nibbindati dukkhe.                          得厌离于苦。

 

         Esa maggo visuddhiya.                           此乃清淨道。 // 了参

 

 

       「一切事物是无实体的」,以智慧观察时,

         厌离种种的苦恼,这是至清淨之道。 // 淨海

 

         'All states (dhamma) are without self',

          when one sees this in wisdom,

          then one becomes dispassionate towards the painful.

         'All forms of existence are unreal'(an-atta);

          he who perceives the truth of this

          get disgusted with this world of suffering.

7.无常偈 (Mahaparinibbanasuttanta,D.II.p.157.L6-9)

       Parinibbute Bhagavati saha parinibbana

 

       Sakko devanam indo imam gatham abhasi :

 

         'Anicca vata samkhara, uppada-vaya-dhammino;

 

         Uppajjitva nirujjhanti, tesam vupasamo sukho' ti.

 

 

        世尊般涅槃时,就在那时,释提桓因说了这偈:

       「诸行无常,是生灭法;生已而灭,寂灭为乐。」

        (注:「生已而灭」古译常作「生灭灭已」)

 

        When the Exalted One died,Sakka,the king of the gods,

        at the moment of his passing away from existence,

        uttered this stanza :-

          'They're transient all, each being's parts and powers,

          Growth is their very nature, and decay.

          They are produced, they are dissolved again :

          To bring them all into subjection --that is bliss.'  (P.T.S.)

 

 

8.五戒文

 

 

   Panatipata veramani-sikkhapadam samadiyami.

 

   Adinnadana veramani-sikkhapadam samadiyami.

 

   Kamesu micchacara veramani-sikkhapadam samadiyami.

 

   Musavada veramani-sikkhapadam samadiyami.

 

   Sura-meraya-majja-pamadatthana veramani-sikkhapadam samadiyami.

 

 

   我受持不杀生戒 / 我受持不偷盗戒 / 我受持不邪婬戒 /

       我受持不妄语戒 / 我受持不饮酒戒 /

 

        I undertake the precept to abstain from killing living beings.

        I undertake the precept to abstain from taking what is not given.

        I undertake the precept to abstain from misconduct in sensual pleasures.

        I undertake the precept to abstain from false speech.

        I undertake the precept to abstain from wine, liquor,and intoxicants, which are

          the basis of negligence.

 

9.慈心解脱 (metta cetovimutti)

 

       Sabbe satta                  一切众生

 

       Avera hontu,                 愿他们都没有仇怨之心

 

       Abyapajjha hontu,            愿他们都不互相侵犯恼害

 

       Anigha hontu,                愿他们都没有身心的苦恼

 

       Sukhi attanam pariharantu.    愿他们都善于守护自己,具足安乐。

 

 

       (May all beings  be free from enmity,

           May they  not do harm to each other,

           May they  be without affliction (or undisturbed),

           May they  well protect themselves (from all distress) and live happily.)
